Set on a piece of whalebone, two hunters are transporting proof of a successful hunt: a small seal. The three figures are carved from walrus ivory and set on a whale bone base. The hunters both don carved snow goggles. One hunter is toting a shotgun, while the other has in hand a harpoon. This is an ornately carved piece depicting a traditional and ongoing way of life.
